Can I see it while on an Alaska Cruise in September? Or is it seen mostly in-land?

Alaskan cruise, not Alaska cruise. And of course it will depend on the time of year. Research the northern lights and educate yourself and you will have a better idea.

  • Issac Slaughter:

sure, you can see it from minnesota if you look at the right time adn its dark enough

  • Jocelyn Lyons:

You can and probably will see the Aurora Borealis while on your cruise. Some of the most vivid colors in the universe can be seen in Alaska. I know you will truly enjoy it. October is one of the best times, too!!

  • Flor40:

u should still be able to c it on the cruise as its an effect on the ozone layer with any luck it should be better bcoz there wont be any light interference from street lights etc.

  • Keenan Molloy:

I’ve seen Aurora in every month of the year in SE Alaska. Look North, after midnight on a clear night. Maybe you’ll see it maybe you wont. Look for the aurora forecast here:
