Cruising an Alaskan Glacier

Alaska is truly a extraordinary place it has been suggested that the folks that selected to stay in Alaska are attempting to run aloof from some thing and keep away from it or that these folks try to get as far faraway from society as they presumably can. Alaska is still no doubt one of the most exquisite states in the USA. The awesome mountains the snow and ocean power make umpteen folks come visit Alaska to see and experience it first hand you shall be startled to be taught what number of people choose Alaska as the holiday destination.

This place is selected as a consequence of its different from anything it can be not like any dissimilar state in the U.S. and in fact it is unique to anyplace else in the world.

Several folks who experienced the close contact with the Alaska glacier will tell you that its an experience unlike any other and that the visit to your glacier is an in depth glance at some thing incredible the general public who just looked at a glacier form far away arent attentive to this since they havent seen the glacier from that close it is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The numbers talk for themselves as numerous vacationers to Alaska as flocking to the Alaska glacier cruise.

Unfortunately the weather situations and a few brand-new risks are making the glaciers something that must be seen now and not some thing that we would assume will always be there for us to go to the international warming effect is just beginning to claim a very high toll on the…

Does anyone know which cruiseline (destination Alaska) that doesn’t tell you when to eat and where to eat? It’s annoying to follow any set schedules, so i’m looking for a cruise with “restaurants” that do not operate under any set schedule (or assigned seats for that matter). Thanks!

Any suggestions on who to deal with? We are thinking Princess Cruise followed with a 4 or 5 day land tour but are wondering if booking a separate land tour would be better than the cruise ship offers. We’re also looking for a great deal, money-wise. I’d like to fish the last day and bring fish home to the San Francisco bay area.

I’m not terribly prone to seasickness, but I have been known to get pretty green in a smaller boat on choppy waters. I’m told the big cruise ships with stablizers don’t even feel like they’re moving, so I’m not too worried about that part; but I hope to go on side trips to see whales and sea otters. Has anyone done this, and do folks tend to get seasick on them?

We are 1st time cruisers. We are taking Holland America’s Alaska cruise from Seattle in mid-Sept. 2006 aboard its “Zaandam” ship. We are taking 2 senior citizen couples with us. Will they have things to do? What do the staterooms look like? We have 3 Oceanview rooms. What can you tell me about food options – we are all vegetarians? What is included in the price we paid? Are spa services and fitness center use included or is there separate charges? What should we take with us for clothing? Will I have motion sickness? How to prevent/treat that? Any advice/info you can give me will be really helpful.

We’re planning to go on a cruise to Alaska in June/July with 14 and 17 year olds kids and 75 year old grandparents. Grandfather will have trouble if there is too much walking.
We are looking at the Holland America Line. Not sure how that compares with other lines.
We’d like to go inland to Denali if possible, but not sure if that would be too hard or too much extra time.
Any info on if there are a number of teenagers that go on these cruises?
Any personal experiences you can share?
