- Tips on going on a cruise with a 6 year old and an 18 month old?
Does anyone have any tips on cruises with kids? We are going on one this weekend to the carribbean and I’m nervous that there won’t be much to do with kids or that others on the cruise won’t like that we brought them. We are going with other families (24 of us total with 4 kids). Please advise! Well to answer most of you, ALL of our family is going on the cruise as a reunion. There will be no-one at home to watch the kids and why would I want to leave my baby for 10 days or even a 4 day cruise? This is a vacation for all of us. I did call the cruise line this am and they have some programs for the kids to get involved with. I was mostly hoping for tips on what others have done with kids on a cruise, not... - Alaska Cruise Review
This Alaska cruise review will give the reader an overview of the attractions of a cruise holiday at the top of the world. Cruising in Alaska is different from the normal cruise holiday floating in the sun from one hot beach or port to another. Alaska has many beautiful and breathtaking sites but they do not include golden beaches, sugar puff clouds tropical islands and vegetation. Being near the pole Alaska has a unique climate that has created the character of the land and the people. On summer days the blue sky may be similar but the beaches are far away being replaced with spectacular glacial rivers of ice. Forests pour down to the waters edge full of wildlife and hiding roaring rivers and calm but grand lakes. Having read this you will realise that an Alaskan cruise holiday should not just be spent on the cruise ship. Yes the... - Alaska Cruise Tours
One of the most popular Alaska cruise tours is to take an expedition to fish for salmon. Salmon fishing is a highly rated activity in Alaska as there are so many salmon in the rivers. This flows from the terrain and the fast moving river system that suits the conditions that the fish thrive in. If this will be your first time fishing trip in alaska you need to ensure that you have the right clothing for the conditions and the right fishing equipment to give you the best chance to catch your fish. A few points worth of illustration are: - The weather conditions are variable so make sure you have clothing that will not restrict your fishing and also that you are able to add warm layers if conditions require this. You can be in brilliant sunshine one moment and a torrential downpour the next. Ensure that you... - Alaska Cruise Line

check with the boat. They will give you the best advice per childs age. You do not need to bring towels, you will have some on the boat and I believe they let you onto the beach with them. Generally they have dispensers in the laundry room where you spend a dollar and get a box of detergent.
Have fun and don’t sweat the small stuff!
Having done several P&O Cruises myself do a bit of both – prebook some but otherwise when you get off at each port you will find local operators that sell the same tours at a cheaper price! You have 2 stewards assigned to each cabin and they will assist you with anything you need including extra towels. When you get into your cabin have a look in the cupboards and the beach towels are usually hidden in there (not in the rather limited spaced bathroom)! Hmm sorry not sure about the laundry powder – i’ve actually never done my washing onboard before… are you sure that the Pacific Dawn has self laundry facilities? one of the P&O ships that i’ve been on (it wasnt the Pacific Dawn though) didnt have a facility such as this, so I just waited until I got home otherwise you’d have to pay per item! Maybe you might just want to check that out with your travel agent?
